The British Association of Cosmetic Dental Professionals was set up in 2016 by a group of individuals consisting of dentists, dental hygienist/therapists, training providers, insurance providers and business consultants who felt that it was time to organise a professional association to represent the interests of Dentists and Dental Hygienists/Therapists in their non-surgical profession.
We aim to work with other professionals and regulatory groups to provide the highest level of information to our members as well as to the public.
Our Association aims to:
- Represent members at national level especially in the political arena
- Provide services to members
- Support members on issues which affect their working lives
- Produce publications that educate, update and inspire dentists, dental hygienists/therapists of regulations which may impact their non surgical cosmetic business
Strategic Plan:
- Continue to work with the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners to represent our members
- Liaise with the GDC to include non surgical cosmetic procedures in dental hygienist/therapist scope of practice to align with Direct Access protocol
- Business Training for the Dental Team
Our Vision
The British Association of Cosmetic Dental Professionals was founded to provide help and support to those dental professionals providing treatments in the field of non-surgical facial aesthetics.
Safeguarding patient safety is at the forefront of our mind and as an association we aim to support this in a number of ways.
As a member you can be expected to be connected to credible training programmes, be provided with mentoring and business support, links to insurance companies that understand our profession and continuing professional development.
